Dalam tulisan singkat ini akan dibahas mengenai pembuatan pastisi atau file system baru di System operasi AIX

Kita akan membuat file system sebagai berikut
- Nama logical volume = test_lv
- Tipe File System : JFS2 (Mengenai JSF2 bisa di baca di http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/aix/v6r1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.aix.baseadmn/doc/baseadmndita/fs_jfs_jfs2.htm)
- Mount point /test

Ok kita akan mulai membuat Logical Volume terlebih dahulu ketik : smitty lv

smitty lv

Move cursor to desired item and press Enter.

  List All Logical Volumes by Volume Group
  Add a Logical Volume   
  Set Characteristic of a Logical Volume
  Show Characteristics of a Logical Volume
  Remove a Logical Volume
  Copy a Logical Volume

--> Pilih Add a Logical Volume

1 blok LOGICAL PARTITIONS bernilai 256 MB, maka nilai 40 tesebut sama artinya 40x256 = 10240 MB atau 10 GB

Ok pembuatan file sytem udah selesai, lalu kita perlu mount file system tersebut

[aix-server:root:/:] mount /test

Kita cek apakah sudah terbuat file system tersebut

Dari hasil diatas bisa dilihat sudah terbuat file system dengan mount point /test dengan ukuran 10 GB

Untuk Cek Free PPS / Logical Volume yang masih bisa kita buat partisi ketik lsvg [nama logical volume]

Mengapus file system
Untuk menghapus file system sebelumnya unmount file system yang akan di remove
[aix-server:root:/:] umount /test

lalu untuk menghapus file system ketik
[aix-server:root:/:] rmfs /test
rmlv: Logical volume test_lv is removed.
